thoughts from Tinker Bell

When you try to deviate from who you ought to be and what you'll become, it will result in chaos... But if you'll just be yourself and make manifest your God-given skills, you'll be able to do beautiful and extraordinary things! Because that's what you are. That's who you are.

hold on.. . just keep on holding on.. .

On this day of your life,   Mary-ees , we believe God wants you to know ... that God is there for you to hold on. Hold on to what is good, even if it's a handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, even if it's a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, even if it's a long way from here. Hold on to your faith, even if it's easier to let go. Hold on to God's hand.

reminder... reminder... reminder...

this is personal.. 38 And they shall be my people , and I will be their God : 39 And I will give them one heart, and one way , that they may fear me for ever , for the good of them, and of their children after them: 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them , to do them good ; but I will put my fear in their hearts , that they shall not depart from me. 41 Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good , and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. - Jeremiah 32:38-41 (King James Version) **whew... is it hard? when God will do everything for you..? nah... and this verse is wow... and that's His promise.. san ka pa? will you worry? when everything is how... *_* hooh Lord... ** i just can't believe what happened... hehe.. absent ako sa review kanina kase i felt like attending the youth fellowship.. don't know why.. yun pala ito yun! hehehe.. anointing service kanina.. and whoa.. ...

The Delight of Sacrifice

I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls . . . —2 Corinthians 12:15 Once "the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit," we deliberately begin to identify ourselves with Jesus Christ’s interests and purposes in others’ lives ( Romans 5:5 ). And Jesus has an interest in every individual person. We have no right in Christian service to be guided by our own interests and desires. In fact, this is one of the greatest tests of our relationship with Jesus Christ. The delight of sacrifice is that I lay down my life for my Friend, Jesus (see John 15:13 ). I don’t throw my life away, but I willingly and deliberately lay it down for Him and His interests in other people. And I do this for no cause or purpose of my own. Paul spent his life for only one purpose— that he might win people to Jesus Christ. Paul always attracted people to his Lord, but never to himself. He said, "I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means sav...

How to Prevent Failure in Your Ministry

[saw this from te weng's blog... i reposted this para ma-cross blog sa multiply ko so that mitch can read it.. hehehehe ^_^] [mitch, this is what i was talkin about... hehe ] Whitney Hopler Editor's Note: The following is a report on the practical applications of Michael Todd Wilson & Brad Hoffmann's new book, Preventing Ministry Failure: A ShepherdCare Guide for Pastors, Ministers and Other Caregivers, (InterVarsity Press, 2007). You hear about falls from ministry all the time, and sometimes you wonder if burnout, ineffectiveness, or moral failure could someday cause your own ministry to fail. But the good news is, failure doesn't just happen without warning, and you can take steps to prevent it. Here's how you can prevent failure in your ministry: Approach your ministry from the right perspective. Remember that it's ultimately God's ministry, not yours. Instead of trying to minister in your own limited power, decide to rely on God's unlimited power...

love

= CHARITY... i was reminded that that's how elisabeth elliot wanted to define it... and as i searched the meaning of charity, this is what i got: noun, plural -ties. 1. generous actions or donations to aid the poor, ill, or helpless 2. something given to a person or persons in need; alms 4. a charitable fund, foundation, or institution 5. benevolent feeling, esp. toward those in need or in disfavor 6. leniency in judging others; forbearance 7. Christian love; agape. (http://www.dictionary.com) i was surprised with the last definition.. hehe kahit pala sa mundo, alam nila yun... hehehehe sometimes when we hear the word charity, charitable institutions na nga lang yung pumapasok sa isip natin... but that's how God loves us... and ngayon ko lang nakita yung King James Version ng 1 Corinthians 13.. and the word used there is charity... 4 Charity suffereth long , and is kind ; charity envieth not ; charity vaunteth not itself , is not puffed up , 5 Doth not behave it...

being in love..

... is a good thing, but it is not the best thing. There are many things below it, but there are also things above it. You cannot make it the basis of a whole life. It is a noble feeling, but it is still a feeling. Now no feeling can be relied on to last in its full intensity, or even to last at all. . . . In fact, the state of being in love usually does not last. . . .But of course, ceasing to be "in love" need not mean ceasing to love. Love . . . is a deep unity, maintained by the will and deliberately strengthened by habit; reinforced by the GRACE which both partners ask and receive from God. They can retain this love even when each would easily, if they allowed themselves, be "in love" with someone else. "Being in love" first moved them to promise fidelity: this quieter love that enables them to keep their promise. It is on this love that the engine of marriage is run: being in love was the explosion that started it. -C. S. Lewis in Mere Christianity...

Look again and Think

Do not worry about your life . . . —Matthew 6:25 A warning which needs to be repeated is that "the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches," and the lust for other things, will choke out the life of God in us ( Matthew 13:22 ). We are never free from the recurring waves of this invasion. If the frontline of attack is not about clothes and food, it may be about money or the lack of money; or friends or lack of friends; or the line may be drawn over difficult circumstances. It is one steady invasion, and these things will come in like a flood, unless we allow the Spirit of God to raise up the banner against it. "I say to you, do not worry about your life . . . ." Our Lord says to be careful only about one thing- our relationship to Him. But our common sense shouts loudly and says, "That is absurd, I must consider how I am going to live, and I must consider what I am going to eat and drink." Jesus says you must not. Beware of allowing yourself ...

choose to look at the bright faces

i remember a tip when you're standing in front of the congregation, or speaking in a conference, or teaching to a class... you should always look at the bright faces... those who are listening, smiling... looking at you... those faces encourage you... those faces makes you want to go on... ^_^ same with what we should do in this world... where we face many faces every day... some may give you a genuine smile.. some may hug you... others may not treat you fairly... but whatever happens, ALWAYS CHOOSE TO LOOK AT THE BRIGHT FACES - those whose smiles are really coming from the heart... those hugs that are genuine... those faces that encourages you... makes you want to go on.... always choose to look at those faces... then you can face another day... thanks for those bright faces... i'm really blessed!!! ^_^ i love those people ^_^

when everyone turns their back on you...

Jesus remains... this message was really poignant.. . .got rebuked also.. hehe for the past days just felt like God left me.. but He didn't.. hehe hiya nga ko kay Lord kase parang pati sa Kanya ganun naisip ko... but it's not true... when everything is gone.. i still have Jesus... - we still have Jesus... and i have to believe that... =) i really have to.. =) that's a fact... Jesus loves me and nothing could ever change that.. =) hehe... nakaka-encourage lang yung message kanina... =) Satan will do everything to discourage you.. that's his job... but what God says is this.. "Be strong and very courageous..." don't look at your "giants"... look how BIG your God is ... and everything else will change.. =) natawa pa ko dun sa outline ng message ni ptr.. the first question was are you against all odds..? what if everything else is against you...? what will you do? =) Jesus can deliver you =) just felt God's love kanina.. na parang whoa... just ca...

world changer.. record breaker

...new testament times... the disciples made history through their house churches... when they fellowship, in their homes, lots of people receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.. 3,000 people receive Him in one day... they hold that record until today... the country that broke the record -- China.. and guess who... youth.. ages 15-19 ... hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooh... pambihira... and guess how many people got born again in a day... 22,000 people... hooooooooh!!! that was based from a survey.. [ tama ba?!] shinare lang yun ni ptr anthony kanina during our 1st small group leader's conference.. what he shared was about the basics regarding the church.. [2 or 3 gathered in His name...] i don't know but upon hearing that.. tears just fell from my eyes.. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Lord..! iba talaga magagawa ng mga youth.. if only they will stick to You and get to know Your heart.. hoooH!.... and somehow nahiya ako kay Lord.. pambihira... i'm already 20... and how many peo...

audience of One

was just reminded kanina.. during our devotion sa soul stop.. about bein' part of the body of Christ... na we shouldn't desire for praises of people.. it's hard because it's our nature as humans... we tend to become histrionic at times.. but then, wala naman tayong mapapala if we have hidden agendas in our hearts... diba..? hehe katuwa lang yung naging sharing kanina kase parang whoa... hindi ganun kabigat yung discussion but it's indeed a great reminder...=) we are created imperfectly for us to learn how to depend on others... =) we are created to praise Him alone.. =) [ tamad na mag-type... hehe]

what i've learned...

from the past months i've been through this.. i've learned a lot from God... i don't know if other people realize that.. but one thing's for sure... i was really really really amazed at how it has been.. at how God has been faithful... =) God is gracious and merciful... Never ever think that you can do something because you already know how to do it or because you are convicted to do so... or else... -grin- Never ever judge someone... =) "what we need is an encouragement..." He still loves me no matter what.. He doesn't look at the flaws... nor the shortcomings.. He looks at your heart.. that little strength in your heart that says "Lord, i still want to love you..." when God answers your prayers, make sure you're ready... in whatever way He will answer it.. haha! [just like the way He answered mine.. ] hehehehe.. pero don't listen to emotions.. Patience.. God is patient.. so you should be patient to... Listening.. Not taking one step ahe...

how far can you go..?

Helicopter Game try this one.. hehehehe ... this has been introduced to me by a great friend.. and i was playing this one... asking God why am i playing this game.. hehehehe... just wanted to learn something.... the instruction says, press the left mouse button... pressing... what's so important about pressing on... it keeps you going... sometimes you have to press intermittently... sometimes one press will keep you up.. but sometimes you have to travel at the lower side of the journey.. yet pressing on will still help you... =) when you press longer, you'll go up.. but it will lead you to a crash... -grin- that's why in our journey with God... let's just allow Him to take us where He wants us to go.. He's the one making our hearts obedient and stubborn [forgot the verse..] and there's a period wherein we just have to press a little to keep us going.. press some more to sustain... and press longer to move up.. but God will just allow us to stay where He wants us...

excerpts from passion and purity

hehe... when i started reading this book [ a post-birthday gift from aj... thanks by the way... ] medyo parang di ko siya ganun na nagustuhan... kasi medyo maigsi yung chapters tapos parang ha? yun na yun..? parang di masyadong naexplain yung first chapters.. nung medyo half-way done na ko.. hehe [at may lapis na kaya nakakapag-highlight na..hehehehe at sinisipag magpost]... medyo naappreciate ko tong chapters na to eh..hehehe read on na lang... ; )) sabi niya dito... "I learned that the deepest spiritual lessons are not learned by His letting us have our way in the end, but by His making us wait, bearing with us in love and patience until we are able honestly to pray what He taught His disciples to pray: Thy will be done. Acceptance of whatever that means is the great victory of faith that overcomes the world." hehe.. medyo di ako nagcocomment na sa book ko eh.. heheh ngayon lang medyo hindi..hehe another one... When obedience to God contradicts what I think will give me p...

Jesus saves

what's great about God... =) many things.. =) and one of them is that when you desire.. you don't have to exert so much effort.. when you desire to do things that's glorifying His Name, He makes it happen! HE MAKES IT HAPPEN =) all you have to do is desire... =) when God called you, He knew your limitations... your weaknesses.. everything about you... and yet, He chose you... because when He called you, all He wants is your availability and obedience... then He can fulfill His plan through you.. =) not by might nor by power but by His Spirit..
