Week 1- Pray to Know God Better Ephesians 1:17-19 Notes: *Sometimes we still pray for things that we already have (Eph. 1:13-14). Just access it by faith! *God is not bothered if you keep on asking * THE FOUNDATION OF ALL PRAYERS IS TO KNOW CHRIST BETTER * Prayer is communication.. . We communicate to make things clear.. . *It is not possible to know Him with your intellectual capacity *The Holy Spirit can help us know God in a more experiential way *You need the Spirit of God to know Him better *You may know God but do you know Him personally? *Ask for the Spirit of God to give you wisdom and revelation that the eyes of your heart (the real man) may be enlightened (for you to know what He specifically wants you to do) in order that you may know: (1) the hope to which he has called you -- your calling, there is certainty about the Hope He gives us! Three months after they left Egypt, God reminded His people why He had delivered them "on eagle's wings." It was to bring the people to Himself . That is, God saved them so that they could enjoy intimate fellowship with Him. The Israelites had been slaves with no freedom to worship God. Now, with their own land, they could come to know and serve God freely.
