only God can make a tree

My brother saw this while they're cleaning up stuffs.. . Hehe.. . I was in grade VI then, when I made this one.. . as I can remember, it's a project in T.H.E. haha.. . it's been 9 years.. . wow.. . just sharing.. . hehe.. .ang kulit din ng message ^^,

received an e-mail

I seldom read e-mails.. .(I don't know why.. .) but every time I read one, it's really striking.. .very timely.. .I was really asking for this.. . well not directly.. .but this helped me understand things.. . I was amazed at how God can speak to His people.. . Before, I know He can speak through the Bible, discernment, still small voice, peace.. . but some of my experiences are here.. . haha.. . it may seem to be very long.. .but just read on.. . How to Hear God's Voice Whitney Hopler God is always speaking, but you may not always be hearing Him. If you're not hearing from God regularly, it could be because you're limiting the ways you listen for His voice. God speaks in a wide variety of creative ways, so you need to be open to hearing from Him however He chooses to speak to you. Here are some of the many different ways you may hear from God: The Bible: God may cause a portion of Scripture to jump off the page for you while you're reading it. He may ma

Psalm 18

1 I will love Thee, O LORD, my strength. 2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. 3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from mine enemies. 4 The sorrows of death encompassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid. 5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death lay before me. 6 In my distress I called upon the LORD and cried unto my God; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry came before Him, even unto His ears. 7 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because He was wroth. 8 There went up smoke out of His nostrils, and a devouring fire out of His mouth; coals were kindled by it. 9 He bowed the heavens also and came down; and darkness was under His feet. 10 And He rode upon a ch

Justification by Faith

If when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life —Romans 5:10 I am not saved by believing— I simply realize I am saved by believing. And it is not repentance that saves me— repentance is only the sign that I realize what God has done through Christ Jesus. The danger here is putting the emphasis on the effect, instead of on the cause. Is it my obedience, consecration, and dedication that make me right with God? It is never that! I am made right with God because, prior to all of that, Christ died. When I turn to God and by belief accept what God reveals, the miraculous atonement by the Cross of Christ instantly places me into a right relationship with God. A nd as a result of the supernatural miracle of God’s grace I stand justified, not because I am sorry for my sin, or because I have repented, but because of what Jesus has done. The Spirit of God brings justification with a shattering, ra

FROG

Did I tell you that? How many of my own words do I need to eat? " But—Lord— You KNOW ME! I can’t do that!" I am whining. I know it and He knows it. Can’t seem to stop myself though. He leans over and whispers... "I’m not asking YOU to do it. I will do it. All I want from you is an open heart and mouth." I am humbled. Tears swell and fall. "Okay Lord." I should have known. Total insecurity in me...and fully relying on Him. Isn’t that where He wants us all to be? Fully—Relying—On—God. F.R.O.G. I think of that every time I see a frog. Can’t help myself. I feel like a hopping toad at times. He causes me to realize where all my strength lies. At the foot of the cross. Without the cross...I wouldn’t be here today. What are you balking at today where He wants you to submit? Are you backing up a bit–thinking you can’t? When He says, through Me, You can do all things . - an excerpt from Internet Cafe Devotions *** Tears just fell as I was reading this devotiona

This is what mind setting can do.. haha! simple but not easy.. .^^, but the results.. .wow... . A pastor shared his experience with his daughter one day when he was about to drive them to school.. . it's Thursday.. .while waiting for her eldest daughter, her younger daughter said, "Aaarrrgggh!" He asked why.. . she said, "It's Thursday".. . "So what's wrong with Thursday?" the father asked.. . "Thursday is a double subject day!" the daughter answered.. . The daughter doesn't like math.. .and every Thursday, it's a "double math day" The father asked the daughter if they could agree with this.. . "Every Thursday, you have to tell yourself: I'm going to learn something new about math today. " And so every Thursday, the daughter exclaims.. . "Aaaarrrrggh.. . . I'm going to learn something new about math today," And the next grading period.. .the highest grade of his daughter is.. .guess what -

The Key to the Master’s Orders

Pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest —Matthew 9:38 The key to the missionary’s difficult task is in the hand of God, and that key is prayer, not work— that is, not work as the word is commonly used today, which often results in the shifting of our focus away from God. The key to the missionary’s difficult task is also not the key of common sense, nor is it the key of medicine, civilization, education, or even evangelization. The key is in following the Master’s orders— the key is prayer. "Pray the Lord of the harvest . . . ." In the natural realm, prayer is not practical but absurd. We have to realize that prayer is foolish from the commonsense point of view. From Jesus Christ’s perspective, there are no nations, but only the world . How many of us pray without regard to the persons, but with regard to only one Person— Jesus Christ? He owns the harvest that is produced through distress and through conviction of sin. This is the harvest for which

The Key to the Missionary’s Work (1)

Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ’All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations . . .’ —Matthew 28:18-19 The key to the missionary’s work is the authority of Jesus Christ, not the needs of the lost. We are inclined to look on our Lord as one who assists us in our endeavors for God. Yet our Lord places Himself as the absolute sovereign and supreme Lord over His disciples. He does not say that the lost will never be saved if we don’t go— He simply says, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations . . . ." He says, "Go on the basis of the revealed truth of My sovereignty, teaching and preaching out of your living experience of Me." "Then the eleven disciples went . . . to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them" ( Matthew 28:16 ). If I want to know the universal sovereignty of Christ, I must know Him myself. I must take time to worship the One whose name I bear. Jesus says,

good attitude vs. winning attitude

GOO D attitude can take you to places you don't want to go.. . because of your good attitude, you can go anywhere.. . WINNING attitude can take you to places you WANT to go to.. . because of your winning attitude, surely you'll be where you wanted to be.. . not just somewhere else... . -Pastor from VCF forgot the name.. .hehe

on prayer

repost from ate gil.. . a very great reminder.. . A prayerless christian is a powerless christian If you are not connected to the source of power, you are useless Do not focus on the prayer--focus on God Prayer without focusing and listening is just a monologue Life is fragile. Handle it with prayer The best way to learn is to practice Having the focus helps us when we are under attack The Lord has His own time frame according to His will You have to wait until you reap what you have sown You can see the rise and fall of a christian through his/her prayer life I've called you to the kingdom for such a time as this... Many who have been seeking change in the nation will see the rebuilding of the nation ( i'll be holding on to His promise.. .) When you pray for healing...pray as if you're the one who's sick....there's a great difference..." remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them" In countries with great strongholds you have to move from priestly

How Will I Know?

Jesus answered and said, ’I thank You, Father . . . that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes’ —Matthew 11:25 We do not grow into a spiritual relationship step by step— we either have a relationship or we do not. God does not continue to cleanse us more and more from sin— "But if we walk in the light," we are cleansed "from all sin" ( 1 John 1:7 ). It is a matter of obedience, and once we obey, the relationship is instantly perfected. But if we turn away from obedience for even one second, darkness and death are immediately at work again. All of God’s revealed truths are sealed until they are opened to us through obedience. You will never open them through philosophy or thinking. But once you obey, a flash of light comes immediately. Let God’s truth work into you by immersing yourself in it, not by worrying into it. The only way you can get to know the truth of God is to stop trying to find out and by being bor

Coming to Jesus

Come to Me . . . —Matthew 11:28 Isn’t it humiliating to be told that we must come to Jesus! Think of the things about which we will not come to Jesus Christ. If you want to know how real you are, test yourself by these words— "Come to Me . . . ." In every dimension in which you are not real, you will argue or evade the issue altogether rather than come; you will go through sorrow rather than come; and you will do anything rather than come the last lap of the race of seemingly unspeakable foolishness and say, "Just as I am, I come." As long as you have even the least bit of spiritual disrespect, it will always reveal itself in the fact that you are expecting God to tell you to do something very big, and yet all He is telling you to do is to "Come . . . ." "Come to Me . . . ." When you hear those words, you will know that something must happen in you before you can come. The Holy Spirit will show you what you have to do, and it will involve anythin

watchmen

As a Christian, God places you as a watchman for yourself, your friends, your family, and your church family.. . God may choose to give you words of encouragement to share with your friend.. . If you are spiritually alert, you may receive a warning from God that addresses specific dangers that those around you are facing.. .Strive to be attentive to every word that comes to you from God.. . Your diligence will benefit you and those around you as you heed God's warnings and follow His commands. -Experiencing God I don't know if everyone is called to be a watchman.. . in older times, there are watchmen staying on the walls, looking out if there's an enemy coming.. . or whatever.. . they alert the people and tell them if they need to prepare for something.. . this setting was applied before because countries are surrounded by walls and they really have to have a look out for them to be informed if there's an enemy coming.. . Nowadays, it seems that there is no physical ne

The Vision and The Reality

. . . to those who are . . . called to be saints . . . —1 Corinthians 1:2 Thank God for being able to see all that you have not yet been. You have had the vision, but you are not yet to the reality of it by any means. It is when we are in the valley, where we prove whether we will be the choice ones, that most of us turn back. We are not quite prepared for the bumps and bruises that must come if we are going to be turned into the shape of the vision. We have seen what we are not, and what God wants us to be, but are we willing to be battered into the shape of the vision to be used by God? The beatings will always come in the most common, everyday ways and through common, everyday people. There are times when we do know what God’s purpose is; whether we will let the vision be turned into actual character depends on us, not on God. If we prefer to relax on the mountaintop and live in the memory of the vision, then we will be of no real use in the ordinary things of which human life is

The Assigning of the Call

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church . . . —Colossians 1:24 We take our own spiritual consecration and try to make it into a call of God, but when we get right with Him He brushes all this aside. Then He gives us a tremendous, riveting pain to fasten our attention on something that we never even dreamed could be His call for us. And for one radiant, flashing moment we see His purpose, and we say, "Here am I! Send me" ( Isaiah 6:8 ). This call has nothing to do with personal sanctification, but with being made broken bread and poured-out wine. Yet God can never make us into wine if we object to the fingers He chooses to use to crush us. We say, "If God would only use His own fingers, and make me broken bread and poured-out wine in a special way, then I wouldn’t object!" But when He uses someone we dislike, or some set of circumstances to which we
